Moving On.
As you may well have noticed, this site has been dead for a while. But I'll be moving to a more permanent home - hopefully. Thanks to kylej866, who runs & owns www.18WoSMods.com.

Progress.
After noticing a minor shadow bug on the Evo VII, I decided to re-check the Evo VIII and noticed the bug occuring on the vehicle, although not as sevre as the Evo VII the problem was still there and I decided to reconvert it, the Evo8 is 90% completed, just finishing touches left now, and the Evo7 is about 60% complete, still quite a bit of work left, sorry for the lack of updates, I've been quite busy and all work and no play makes Az a very dull boy?

Evo VIII.
I've been dying to get an Evo VIII in to MidMad2, and alas, some joy. The conversion of the Evolution VIII was a success, although I had to cancel breakable parts, due to the fact that the reflection map tends to avoid breakables for some strange reason, but it drives, and looks beautiful, much thanks again to Eddy3Spain for his permission to convert. I've also added 8 screen shots of it to the screen shot bank. There isn't much left to do, but there still a few rough edges that need cleaning up, namely in the form of, more realistic performance, sounds, jpg-uluck, jpg-show, dashboard and just general file clean up, etc. The Evo VIII weighed in at a staggering 30+mb with it's crystal clear 2048² skins, which I decided to trim down to 1024² to prevent the game from constantly causing the heap overrun error (same reason I removed breakables) and to make the file slightly smaller, and more friendlier to weaker systems, after all Midtown Madness 2 is an 8 year old game. This car has truly pushed MM2 to it's outer limits.
I'm still baffled as to why MidMad2 doesn't apply it's (or any) reflection map to breakable parts, it makes the car look weird, imagine a car nice and shiny, except the hood, and the doors, wouldn't it look weird? If anyone knows of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI (TME), it has to be TME, that I can convert to MidMad2, please get in touch, the body-work must be of high quality, it must have 3d wheels and textures that are at least 512² - although 1024² or higher would be preferred. Coming soon: Eddy3Spain's Evo VII. Posted on 07 Jun 2008 by Az
Bonus Vehicles.
I plan to add two more bonus vehicles, the author has granted me permission to convert them, I'm just awaiting for some files from him, I'll be converting Eddy3Spain's Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII & VIII which are both Group N rally cars, respectively. Both vehicles are a part of Eddy3Spain's massive portfolio of high-quality vehicles for Richard Burns Rally, depending on how this goes, I may convert a few more of his vehicles.

Last Requests.
I think think this little mod now has enough junk, if anyone has any vehicle requests or anything, be sure to post it here as a comment, and do it soon, I intend to smooth over those rough edges, and finish up this mod.
Current vehicles; Audi A4, Audi S4, BMW Pursuit M5, Buick Wildcat, Chevrolet Stingray, Ferrari F40, Ford Pinto, Ford TS50, Holden HSV GTS Coupe, Lexus IS350, MG ZS, McLaren F1 LM, Mitubishi Lancer Evoulution IX, Nissan R35 Skyline GT-R, Peugeot 206, Porsche 911 (Veilside), Saleen S5S Raptor (Concept), There were a lot of other vehicles that were also abandoned. Other notable modifications; Abandoned city*, Banger fix*, Drive on water, HUD, Loading screens, Megamod London, Megamod San Francisco, Reflections update, Skidmarks update. and a few others which I may have failed to mention. * = To be confirmed. As it is, half the mod has been completed, maybe even less, the file sits at a massive 38mb. Posted on 03 Jun 2008 by Az
New Vehicles!
5 more vehicles lined up/in the works (see below) from left to right; McLaren F1 LM (NFS6), Ferrari F40, Lexus IS350 (NFSPS), 1967 Buick Wildcat, and a 2010 Saleen S5S Raptor Concept . As you may well be able to see, the wheel textures for the Wildcat aren't quite complete yet.
Also, you may have noticed that all the images on the page have magically vanished, the reason behind this is that my host is fairly slow, and I've removed the images in an attempt to speed up page loading times. They can still be accessed via the [story image] links [mclaren image] [ferrari image] [lexus image] [buick image] [saleen image ] Posted on 02 Jun 2008 by Az
Ford Pinto.
I've now finished the majority of the work to do on my latest project, a 1973 Ford Pinto. It has around 89BHP and a top speed of around 126MPH, only 4 gears, but hey, it's supposed to be realistic. It certainly isn't one of the fastest cars I've driven but it certainly is one of the most fun cars I've driven in a while.

Peugeot 206.
I've finished work on a 2003 Peugeot 206 (GTi S-16 from NFSU2). It feautures 8 skins, damage, a breakable hood, and wing mirrors, I may add damage textures. It also has sounds borrowed from the VW Beetle Dune.

Perfection.
I've now perfected both the Audis (A4/S4) to a satisfactory standard. They both include nicely shaped and well placed reverse, brake and headlights. A well shaped and snugly fitting bound, and of course a dash, borrowed from it's sister, (the default) Audi TT. I may possibly decide to add breakables, damage and night textures, but I'm not too sure yet, I still have to create the show/ulck images.

New Additions.
Two new additions to the ever-expanding mod package, a 1994 Audi A4 (green), and a 2003 Audi S4 (red). So far they only have 2 textures, and a semi working dashboard.
Warning: images may be dial-up unfriendly, rough dimensions are 1600 x 1200 JPEGs, 200kb each. [A4 image] [S4 image] Posted on 28 May 2008 by Az

Progress Updates.
I've been hard at work on the mod pack, so far, I've added new loading screens in a few places, added new reflections, (oh so shiny) darker skid marks, and various other smaller updates such as the vehicle selection images, and a couple of smaller cometic updates for the game, the mod name has been chosen, it'll be M4. And I have a Jaguar XKR (NFS6) lined up.

Veilside Porsche 911.
The Veilside Porsche 911 was an instant hit when it was released for Midtown Madness 2, a long time ago. I've remade the vehicle for the M4 modpack hoping to expand on it's previous success, it includes higher resolution textures, newer tuning, and more varied skins.

Older Cars.
The first two cars in this mod-pack were the Mitsubishi Evolution IX GSR, and the BMW Pursuit M5, I just noticed I had no preview images of them, so here you go. [;

3 More Cars!
I've added 3 more cars, which I thought was 4, explaining the picture, but anyway, it includes a '67 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, a Holden HSV GTS Coupe and last but not least, a Nissan R35 Skyline GT-R.

Ford TS50.
New vehicle testing, Ford TS50, converted from Need For Speed 6: Hot Pursuit 2, comes with 8 skins including a pursuit skin, handling based on my BMW M5, handles rather well, I've included a few pictures below. It also includes fully working brake lights, reverse lights, headlights and fog lights, albeit a little sloppy, but they'll be cleaned up towards the end of the project. And some of the duplicate colours will be replaced (blue/navy blue and silver/white/dark grey).

MultiMod Revival
As I stated in my previous post, I've decided to continue development with my MultiMod for Midtown Madness 2 after a long break. This is just a little post to inform you about changes in the mod pack. It will be renamed, and have a new objective, and I will possibly hiring team members to help me.
Possible names; - Midtown Madness 2.5. - MultiMod v1.2. There were a few others which I can't quite recall at the moment. Pack contains; - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX (8 Skins). - BMW M5 (pursuit, 8 skins). - JGTC Skyline v2.0 (5+ skins, new rims). - Water mod (drive on water). - New HUD. - Banger fix (added weight to poles, etc). - New vehicles and loading screens to be added. - London/SF cop cars to be replaced with M5/R34. Abandoned Projects
With the closure of FuzzyDogSlayer.co.uk, you may have noticed that my previously active projects have now ground to a halt. Furthermore, with the inactivity of my SnapDrive account, I've lost most of my Midtown Madness 2 modifications. But now the time is ripe to start again, thankfully I still have the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, the pursuit BMW M5, and the JGTC Skyline (v2.0 Bam Edition), and a few other minor modifications, so I plan to restart from there.
